Naples. Dario Lenci, the young man who on the evening of September 30, 2023, hit and killed the engaged couple Francesco Altamura and Lucia Morra, was sentenced to ten years in prison.
The prosecution had requested 12 years in prison. The trial was held with an abbreviated procedure. The investigations revealed that Lenci was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
The sentence was greeted with anger by Lucia Morra's father: "A scandalous sentence, five years for each dead boy." The protest had already manifested itself in April when the Prosecutor's Office requested sentences.
The convicted man had also tried to alleviate his sentence by offering a compensation of 60 thousand euros to the families of the two victims. Something that was promptly refused.
