Giugliano. Yesterday evening, a supermarket on via Mugnano in Giugliano was the scene of an armed robbery. The Carabinieri, thanks to a rapid and coordinated action, managed to arrest the two perpetrators shortly after the robbery.

It was around 20:00 PM when two young men, with their faces covered and with guns in their hands, burst into the supermarket. Threatening the cashier, they made him hand over about 450 euros in cash and then fled in a stolen car.
Immediately alerted, the Carabinieri patrols of the Marano operational section intervened on the spot. Thanks to the description provided by the cashier and the images from the security cameras, the military identified the robbers' car and intercepted them as they attempted to escape.
Arrest and recovery of stolen goods
The two young men, a 22-year-old and a 17-year-old, both with no criminal record, were unable to resist and surrendered to the Carabinieri. The military recovered approximately 450 euros in stolen goods and the weapons used for the rapina.
The two arrested were charged with aggravated robbery. The 22-year-old was taken to the Poggioreale prison, while the minor was taken to the first reception center of Colli Aminei.
