Giugliano. Yesterday evening, a supermarket on via Mugnano in Giugliano was the scene of an armed robbery. The Carabinieri, thanks to a rapid and coordinated action, managed to arrest the two perpetrators shortly after the robbery.
It was around 20:00 PM when two young men, their faces covered and carrying rifles, burst into the supermarket. Threatening the cashier, they forced him to hand over approximately €450 in cash and then fled in a stolen car.
Immediately alerted, Carabinieri patrols from the Marano operations unit responded to the scene. Thanks to the description provided by the cashier and security camera footage, the officers located the robbers' car and intercepted them as they attempted to escape.
