Despite the defeat against Napoli, Fabio Pecchia, Parma coach, can only be proud of his boys' performance. At the end of a hard-fought match, Pecchia spoke in positive tones, praising the determination and character of his team, who left the field without points but with the awareness of having held their own against one of the strongest teams in the championship.
“We played a great match, congratulations to my boys – declared Pecchia –. We leave the field, both from a human and technical point of view, winners, even if with zero points.
We faced a team that will fight for the championship, with players who have already won a championship. My boys, many of whom are very young, played a great game.
Kowalski, in his debut, showed great maturity. We were great”.
The technician of Parma he then analyzed in detail the performance of his team, highlighting the offensive approach and the ability to fight until the end, despite the numerical inferiority. “From this match we take with us the desire to play and attack – continued Pecchia –. We scored first and, even at the end with ten men, we came close to equalising. It's a performance that leaves us satisfied and proud".
Concluding his analysis, Pecchia underlined how the first three games of the season have brought four points, but also a bit of regret for the missed opportunities: “Coming out of these three games with four points perhaps leaves us a little angry, but we will work to improve.
My team will continue to play with courage and determination."
