In Caselle in Pittari, in the Salerno area, the lifeless bodies of an elderly couple, an 80-year-old man and an 85-year-old woman, were found in their home. The bodies, in a state of decomposition, suggest that the deaths occurred several days ago, making it difficult to establish the precise time of death.
According to initial information, the bodies were found in different places: the woman was in the chicken coop, while the man was discovered in a room outside the house. No signs of violence or traces of forced entry were found in the house, suggesting that the cause of death was natural.
The Prosecutor's Office Lagonegro ordered an autopsy to further clarify the circumstances of the death. The Carabinieri of the Sanza Station intervened on the scene of the tragedy to carry out the surveys and start the investigations.
