Sorrentino, after his acclaimed and autobiographical “It Was the Hand of God”, returns to Naples with a new story. The film “Parthenope” follows the life of a woman named Parthenope, like her city, from her birth in the 50s to old age. The film explores her life, loves, fears and disappointments, as well as her relationship with the city that saw her grow up, between a youth too short and a maturity full of the naivety of childhood.
