In view of the holidays, an estimated 17 million Italians are traveling between Christmas, New Year's and Epiphany, an increase of one million compared to the November forecast. For New Year's Eve, 27% of Italians will choose a large city or a city of art, while 23% will opt for the mountains.

Among those who choose a holiday of at least 5 nights, a quarter will go abroad. Short stays predominate, with 52% of those leaving for the Epiphany long weekend planning no more than 2 nights. Among those who will not travel, 20% attribute this choice to economic reasons, while 13% link it to the lack of holidays.
