MADDALONI (CASERTA) – A 24-year-old man was arrested on charges of attempted extortion and mistreatment of family members after being stopped by the Carabinieri last night in his home in Maddaloni.
The boy, in a fit of rage, had just attacked his mother, guilty of having denied him money. The alarm was raised shortly before midnight, when the terrified woman contacted 112 asking for help. With a trembling voice, she reported to the operator of the Operations Center of the Maddaloni Company that her son, in a state of great agitation, was threatening her and was destroying the house.
When the military arrived, the woman was in the courtyard, visibly shaken. Unable to speak, she pointed to her son, who had retreated a short distance away. The carabinieri immediately stopped him and took him to the barracks. Once reassured, the mother said she had been pulled and threatened with death after refusing to hand over money. The boy, in a fit of rage, had also destroyed some terracotta pots and kicked and punched the front door of the house in an attempt to get back inside.
During the complaint, the woman revealed that she had been subjected to violence and mistreatment by her son for a long time, always linked to his constant requests for money. The carabinieri, after having reconstructed a picture of repeated physical and psychological aggression, arrested the 24-year-old, who was transferred to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
