An earthquake hit the population yesterday afternoon in the province of Benevento. The seismic phenomenon was detected around 16:XNUMX pm in the Caudina Valley, causing concern among residents.
With a magnitude of 1.9, the shock did not cause significant damage, but was clearly felt in several municipalities, including Rotondi, Cervinara and Arpaia. The epicenter was located in Paolisi, near the border with the province of Caserta, precisely near Arienzo.
The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology confirmed the details of the event, reassuring that there were no injuries or material damage. However, fear among the citizens was tangible, although the situation seems under control.
