With a total financial endowment of 300 thousand euros, divided into four categories based on the budget of each project to be realized and the filming period, the public notice is aimed at micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the sector, who choose Naples as the ideal set for their new works.

The call for proposals can be consulted on the page (https://www.comune.Napoli.it/flex/cm/pages/ServeBLOB.php/L/IT/I DPagina/53250) and is for feature films, short films, documentaries, serial works, music videos, commercials, fashion shoots, web content, single episodes of reality shows or TV programs.

The granting of contributions will take place up to the maximum amount foreseen for each category indicated in the notice, to cover the expenses incurred for the payment of: fee for parking areas regulated at an hourly rate managed by the ANM Company; fee for temporary concession of occupation of public land in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Naples; fee incurred for filming in the buildings and sites of the real estate assets of the Municipality of Naples.

There are two periods for submitting applications: for filming starting between May and December 2025, from 9:00 on 24 January 2025 to 10:00 on 31 March 2025; for filming starting between January and June 2026, from 9:00 on 15 May 2025 to 10:00 on 31 October 2025.

The public notice represents a further step in the strategy to support the entire sector, desired by Mayor Gaetano Manfredi. A commitment that is strengthened over time and that contributes to enhancing the image of Naples at a national and international level, as confirmed by the latest data provided by the Cinema Office of the Municipality of Naples, which since 1 January 2024 has offered administrative support for the creation of 201 audiovisual projects, thirty more than those produced in 2023.

The list includes, among other things, 21 films for cinema and television (such as “Questi fantasma!” by Alessandro Gassmann, “Hungry bird” by Antonio Capuano, “Nottefonda” with Francesco Di Leva, “Criature” with Marco D'Amore), 19 serial works (such as “Un posto al sole”, “Il commissario Ricciardi 3”, “Mina Settembre 3”, “Mare fuori 5”, “Come un padre”, “The Jackal – Pesci piccoli 2”), 21 commercials (for brands such as Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Maserati, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Nike, Zalando, Kimbo, Voiello, MSC Crociere) and 15 music videos (such as those of Gue Pequeno & Rose Villain, Liberato, Co'Sang).

“With this public notice – declares Sergio Locoratolo, coordinator of cultural policies of the Municipality of Naples – the Administration takes a new significant step in the strategy of valorization and promotion of the city as an ideal set for the audiovisual sector, demonstrating once again a concrete commitment to supporting companies that choose Naples as a location for the realization of projects ranging from cinema to television productions, from music videos to advertising.

The results of this policy, which includes the simplification of bureaucratic procedures and the strengthening of support by the Cinema Office, through innovative tools such as the future digital portal, are there for all to see. The numbers speak for themselves: Naples is establishing itself as a privileged destination for operators in the sector”.

“The Municipality of Naples – says Ferdinando Tozzi, the Mayor's delegate for the music and audiovisual industry – continues to focus, this time through the instrument of the public notice, on the enormous potential of the audiovisual industry.

We work to increase the presence of businesses in the city, to enhance the entire supply chain of the sector and its related industries, including tourism, to attract investments and to sow the seeds of professional training that is always necessary. These strategic actions consolidate the leading role that Naples has assumed as a center of excellence for creativity and for audiovisual and cinematographic production”.
