ON THE SAME TOPIC

He tried to abuse an 11-year-old girl while she was on the street in Licola and risked being lynched when the little girl, who was with two friends, managed to ask her father for help.

The episode in Licola Mare, a suburb of Pozzuoli, on Tuesday afternoon. A girl of just 11 years old, while walking with two friends, was attacked by a man who tried to abuse her. The little girl, with great promptness, managed to ask her father for help through a video call, triggering an immediate reaction from residents and law enforcement.

The little girl, along with her two friends, was in via Del Mare around 14 pm when a 31-year-old man, originally from Nigeria and with no fixed abode, began to harass her. Sitting on a wall with a beer in his hand, the man allegedly began with shocking phrases and, showing her a 20 euro note, attempted to approach the little girl.

After blowing kisses in the direction of the minor, she allegedly tried to grab her, while the two friends were threatened and asked to move away. Terrified, the victim managed to take her cell phone and make a video call to her father, while her friends ran away screaming to attract the attention of passers-by.

The screams attracted the attention of the mother of the child and another woman, who immediately took to the streets.

The North African tried to defend himself by waving a glass bottle

In the meantime, the girl's father also arrived and, together with other residents, began looking for the attacker. The situation quickly degenerated: the man, surrounded by the angry crowd, tried to defend himself by waving glass bottles.

The arrival of the Police, called 113, was providential. The agents, coordinated by the deputy commissioner Raffaele Esposito of the Pozzuoli police station, stopped the 31-year-old, finding him without identity documents and in an irregular position on Italian territory.

The man was arrested on charges of sexual acts with minors and transferred to the Poggioreale prison. The girl, interviewed in the presence of a psychologist, lucidly recounted the terrible moments she had experienced, and her version was deemed credible by the public prosecutor on duty.

The event has left a deep mark on the community of Licola Mare and in the eyes of the girls, who will hardly forget the terror of that afternoon while the victim's family tries to recover from the shock.

  1. It is incredible that in a society like ours there are still people who do such bad things, especially towards children. We hope that the authorities will take more severe measures to protect the little ones and ensure their safety.
