Gragnano - The Guardia di Finanza and the Torre Annunziata State Police Judicial Police Section have executed a house arrest warrant against two individuals accused of extortion.
The provision, issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Torre Annunziata at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, concerns an episode that occurred in Gragnano in July 2024.
According to the investigations, the two suspects - residents of Gragnano and Lettere respectively - allegedly threatened the owner of a clothing store, forcing him to hand over 4 thousand euros.
The victim was allegedly intimidated inside his business, where the two men allegedly used the helmets as improper weapons and made serious threats, even threatening to burn down the shop and even decapitate the businessman if he didn't pay. The money was actually delivered the following day.
During the execution of the precautionary measures, the investigators seized, in the home of one of the arrested, a pistol and a toy machine gun without a red cap, one hundred blank cartridges, three knives of about ten centimeters, a homemade nunchaku and a baseball bat. Both arrested are now under house arrest.
