The soldiers of the station s, thanks to a lightning investigation launched after the victim's complaint and the collaboration between the Carabinieri departments in the province of Caserta, they located the vehicle in the heart of the Roma settlement of Gricignano.
Here, the two were already at work: they had cut parts of the bodywork and were installing a tow hook, ready to modify the car for their purposes. At the sight of the carabinieri, they attempted to escape on foot, but were quickly stopped.
The 42-year-old was placed under judicial police custody for receiving stolen goods and also reported for resisting a public official. The 62-year-old, however, was reported at large for receiving stolen goods.
After the formal procedures, the detainee was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
The car, recovered by the military, was seized for further investigation. The operation confirms the commitment of the police in combating predatory crimes and managing stolen vehicles in the area.
