The 82-year-old man who was seriously injured in a road accident that occurred last Saturday on Via Regina Margherita in Naples has died after a week.
The elderly man was riding his scooter when, for reasons yet to be clarified, he lateral-hit a Fiat Panda driven by a 26-year-old. Transported to the Ospedale del Mare, the man did not survive the injuries sustained.
The accident reported the first victim of 2025 related to road accidents in the Campania capital. The dynamics of the accident are being examined by the Road Accidents of the Local Police of Naples, which carried out the necessary surveys and subjected both drivers to toxicology tests that were negative.
Investigations into the cause of the collision are ongoing as local authorities attempt to shed light on the events that led to the tragic death of the 82-year-old.
