Aversa, illegal works on historical monument: two people reported

Aversa – Two people have been reported by the Carabinieri of the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit of Naples for crimes against cultural heritage and the creation of illicit works without authorization.

The complaints were made as part of a monitoring activity of the monuments of the province of Caserta, conducted in collaboration with the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Caserta and Benevento.

 Illegal works on the Arch of the Annunziata

The checks led to the discovery of interventions abusive on the Bell Tower and the Arch of the Annunziata of Aversa, elements of the monumental complex of the Royal House of the Annunziata, a property protected by the Cultural Heritage Code. In particular, unauthorized lights and decorations were allegedly installed, incompatible with the historical and architectural value of the structure.

The operation confirms the attention of the authorities in protecting the artistic and cultural heritage of the territory, contrasting interventions that compromise its integrity.
