Yesterday morning, the State Police arrested a 31-year-old of Moroccan origin, an illegal immigrant on national territory, for improper robbery, aggravated bodily harm and resisting a public official.
In particular, an officer of the Mobile Unit of Naples, off duty, while passing through Corso Umberto I, noticed a person who, with a cautious manner, was following a woman; the same person, in those moments, stole her cell phone from her jacket and then entered a commercial establishment.
The policeman, who promptly intervened, reached the suspect but, after identifying himself, a fight broke out until the operator finally blocked him, finding him in possession of the cell phone that had just been stolen from the woman; furthermore, with the help of the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid, the man was accompanied to the police station but, once there, the latter attacked the officers who, not without difficulty and after a fight, secured him.
For these reasons, the suspect was arrested by the operating personnel, while the stolen goods were returned to the rightful owner.

The arrest of the Moroccan man was an important thing for the safety of the citizens. However, I wonder if the prevention measures are sufficient. More attention is needed from the authorities, especially in crowded places like Corso Umberto I.
