Napoli – A widespread operation by the Local Police targeted nightlife venues in the areas of Bagnoli, Fuorigrotta and Soccavo, particularly sensitive areas due to the phenomenon of bradyseism.
The intervention, decided by the Committee for Public Order and Safety led by the Prefect Michele di Bari and the Councillor for Local Police Antonio De Iesu, led to 23 violations detected, 3 seizures and numerous infractions between building abuses, missing permits and safety deficiencies.
The numbers of the checks
Over the weekend, officers inspected 11 public businesses:
- 4 were in order,
- 2 they were closed,
- 5 they ended up in the crosshairs for irregularities.
The violations range from illegal sale of alcohol to the lack of health certifications, untilorganizing events without permits.
Party without authorization with 3 people: venue evacuated
One of the most sensational cases involved a place where a crime was taking place an event with about 3.000 people, lacking both the necessary authorization and the fire safety certificate. The area was evacuated immediately and placed under seizure to avoid danger.
Two more exercises have been blocked: the first for illegal building and violations of safety regulations, the second because it operated without permits for dance evenings and in the absence of the necessary certifications.
“Zero Tolerance” on weekends
Control operations they won't stop there: in the next weekend, law enforcement will intensify patrols to ensure compliance with the rules and avoid dangerous situations, especially in an area already fragile due to the phenomenon of bradyseism. The objective is clear: safety first of all.
