Naples – A 20-year-old man, originally from the capital of Campania, was arrested late yesterday evening by the State Police on charges of evasion. The incident occurred in Piazza Santa Maria della Fede, in the heart of the city, during a routine operation by officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station.

According to the reconstruction, the police officers, engaged in the usual patrol of the territory, noticed an individual who, at the sight of the patrol car, tried to disappear to avoid a check. Suspicious of the behavior, the officers promptly reached him and identified him.

The investigation revealed the reason for the escape: the 20-year-old, already known to the police, was under house arrest for drug trafficking-related crimes.

The operation ended with the arrest of the young man, who will now have to answer to the charge of evasion before the competent authorities. The operation confirms the commitment of the State Police in fighting crime and monitoring restrictive measures in the Neapolitan territory.

It is incredible how young people today do not respect the law and think they can escape from the police. I hope that the boy learns from this experience and that the authorities do their duty in punishing his escape.
