Napoli – An injury and surgery have turned the life of Nicholas Fusco, Neapolitan delicatessen owner, leading him to a debt of 102mila euros.
The economic situation had become unsustainable, putting his family's livelihood at risk.
Thanks to “Save Suicides” Law, the court of Naples (seventh civil section, judge Eduardo Savarese) has reduced its debt to 16mila euros, allowing them to regain control of their financial situation.
“The legislation on business crisis and insolvency allows, in the presence of good faith, to identify appropriate tools for each type of debtor", explains the lawyer Monica Mandico, an expert in the sector and former president of the Protection Centre for Over-indebted Families and Businesses.
Through a sustainable recovery plan, based on profitability parameters, the delicatessen managed to obtain a drastic reduction in debt.
“I tell my story to let people in similar situations know that there is a way out,” Fusco says. “When in 2022 I realized I couldn't pay the installments anymore, I turned to a professional. Now that it's all over, I still have a hard time believing it, but I want others to know that there is real help."

It's incredible how someone can end up in such a huge debt, but I'm glad there was a solution. I hope other people in similar situations can find help like Nicola did. The law seems helpful.
