Chaos on the Naples ring road due to an accident involving a tanker, which overturned at km 10.1 in the direction of Pozzuoli.
The Autostrade company has communicated that, to allow for safe removal operations, the stretch between Vomero and Fuorigrotta has been temporarily closed in both directions.
The accident occurred around 12:55, causing heavy repercussions on traffic. At the moment there are two kilometers of tailbacks between the Hospital Area and Vomero, with a mandatory exit at Vomero for those traveling towards Pozzuoli.
Drivers heading to Pozzuoli must use ordinary roads to rejoin the ring road at Fuorigrotta, while those heading to Capodichino follow the reverse route.
I'm working on site Fire fighters, medical and mechanical assistance, Highway Police patrols and personnel from the tangential of Naples to restore traffic flow as quickly as possible.
