Naples – A 37-year-old Moroccan national ended up in handcuffs yesterday morning, caught by the State Police on charges of illegal possession of narcotics. The operation was triggered following an intervention by agents of the General Prevention Office, engaged in a territorial control service.
The incident occurred in via Padre Ludovico da Casoria, where the police officers, during their patrol, noticed a suspicious individual.
The man, after receiving a banknote from another individual, gave him something in exchange; immediately after, the buyer quickly walked away. Suspicious, the officers intervened promptly, stopping the 37-year-old before he could disappear.
Following the search, the suspect was found in possession of 6 packages containing cocaine, a precision scale and 70 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of different denominations. According to investigators, the money represents the clear profit deriving from the drug dealing activity.
The man was immediately arrested and will now have to answer to the charges brought against him before the judicial authorities.
