Naples – An illegal butcher's shop was discovered on Via Torino in Naples by local police officers from the IAES operational unit and staff from the Naples 1 Central Health Authority.
In the butcher's shop, run by a Senegalese citizen, the presence of approximately 3 quintals of meat without health stamps and kept in very poor hygienic-sanitary conditions was ascertained.
The butcher's shop was seized as well as the meat. The man was reported to the judicial authorities in addition to receiving an administrative fine of 12.500 euros.

It is incredible how such activities can exist in a city like Naples. Food safety is fundamental and these episodes cannot happen. I hope that the authorities take more severe measures to avoid similar situations in the future.
