Naples – The Naples Police Headquarters continues to intensify controls on the territory, with a particular focus on combating illegal possession of weapons and drug trafficking.
As part of these operations, yesterday, the State Police arrested a 50-year-old woman, of Neapolitan origin, for illicit possession of narcotics.
The operation was conducted by the agents of the San Giovanni Police Station.Barra, engaged in a control service at a home located in Corso San Giovanni. During the intervention, the officers noticed a woman leaving the home in a suspicious manner and hastily heading towards the upper floors, in an attempt to evade the control.
The officers promptly stopped the woman, finding her in possession of three packages containing approximately 110 grams of crack and a sum of 3.815 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations.

The article about police checks in Naples is interesting but I wonder if these arrests are actually useful in the long run. There are many people who suffer from addictions and arrests alone will not solve the problem.
