ROME – A shock in the Serie C championship: the National Federal Tribunal (TFN) has imposed a heavy sanction on Taranto, decreeing its immediate exclusion from the current tournament Group C and assigning him three penalty points to be served in the first available season.

At the same time, a three-year ban was imposed on Salvator Alfonso, sole director of the Apulian club. The decision involves thecancellation of all the results obtained so far by Taranto, with a consequent reshuffling of the third division Group C standings.
Penalties also for Lucchese, Messina and Triestina
The TFN also inflicted six penalty points to the Lucchese (Group B), to be served in the current season. Same fate for Messina e Triestina, which undergo respectively four penalty points in Groups C and A of C series. The four companies had been reported on March 3rd following reports from the Co.Vi.So.C., the economic and financial control body of the FIGC, for alleged administrative violations.
