The ASL of Salerno has stopped Salernitana again, quarantined all positive cases and close contacts.
The team, saved in extremis at midnight on New Year's Eve from being eliminated from the championship, will not be able to play against Venezia. The club has asked for the postponement of the January 6 match, upon return to the championship. Salernitana has 11 infected players among its members. Salernitana had already skipped the trip to Udine for the same reason.
“In Salerno there are among the many positive cases also four players and a masseur from Salernitana”. He said it Archangel Wise Tozzi, director of the Hygiene and Public Health Service at the ASL of Salerno, spoke on Radio Punto Nuovo.
“These people have already been quarantined by the collective prevention of the city of Salerno for 7 or 10 days based on their vaccination conditions (in the first case, three doses of vaccine are required). Those identified by the company as close contacts will be quarantined with the same characteristics with these people”, he added. In total, the number of positives in the Granata club rises to 11, of which 9 are footballers.
