Yesterday morning, the officers of the Torre Annunziata Police Station, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Center, intervened in via Ercoli in Torre Annunziata following the report of a robbery at a fuel station by a person who, immediately after, fled on board a car.
Shortly after i cops they intercepted and stopped in Provincial Road Schiti the reported car had a man on board who got out of the vehicle and fled on foot and, after a brief chase and with no small amount of difficulty, was stopped.
The operators, thanks to the images from the distributor's video surveillance system, ascertained that the man had arrived by car and, having approached the fuel pump and without ever getting out of the vehicle, had threatened an employee by simulating the possession of a weapon between his legs in order to steal his takings.
Furthermore, the robber was found in possession of the stolen goods, 170 euros which were returned to the owner, and of a pair of shears with an 8 cm blade which was seized.
ME, 43 years old Vico Equense with a police record, he was arrested for aggravated robbery and fined for driving without a license since he had never obtained one and for lack of insurance coverage while the vehicle was seized.
