The awards ceremony for the Premio Cinema Campania 1 will be held on Thursday 11st September at 2023am in the Sala Tropicana – Ente dello Spettacolo of the Hotel Excelsior in Venice Lido as part of the 80th Venice International Film Festival, during the closing conference of the 12th edition of the Social World Film Festival in Vico Equense.
The award will be collected by Edoardo De Angelis, director of the opening film “Comandante” starring Pierfrancesco Favino, and Francesco Grisi, CEO of EDI Effetti Digitali Italiani who created the visual effects for the competing films “Enea” by Castellitto, “Adagio” by Sollima and “Finalmente l'alba” by Costanzo.
Now in its seventh edition, the Campania Cinema Award is a non-competitive recognition of institutions, companies and personalities who over the course of the year have dedicated their work to the development, growth and promotion of cinematographic and audiovisual activity in Campania. It is awarded in events held during the Venice Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival and is part of the film promotion activities of the Social World Film Festival.
The roll of honor includes, among others, the artistic director of the Venice Film Festival, Alberto Barbera, the directors Mario Martone and Daniele Luchetti, the actors Massimiliano Gallo, Carlo Buccirosso, Francesco Di Leva, the director of photography Luca Bigazzi, the journalists Piera De Tassis and Laura Delli Colli, the producer Luciano Stella, the president of Rai Cinema, Nicola Claudio, and the CEO of Rai Cinema Paolo Del Brocco.
During the event, the Special Film Industry Award of the Social World Film Festival will also be presented to Francesca Ceccarelli, representative of Adamantis Europe Ltd who created the mock-up of the submarine “Cappellini”, contributing significantly to the scenography of the film “Comandante”, and prizes will be awarded to the winners of the Young Film Factory and Z-Pitch Contest with scholarships supported by Rehau, main partner of the activities in Italy and around the world of the Social World Film Festival.
Speakers will include director Giuseppe Alessio Nuzzo, creator and founder of the Social World Film Festival, and journalist Alessandro Savoia, coordinator of the Premio Cinema Campania.
At the end there will be a networking film-aperitif for industry professionals.
