The coroner who performed the second and more thorough examination of the body this afternoon found no traces of violence on the body.
This element would support the hypothesis that has been circulating since this afternoon of a possible suicide, although the Carabinieri are investigating by pursuing every lead, without excluding any.
Also because a possible suicide appears to be in partial contrast with the conditions in which the body was found: feet and hands tied, hanged and with a blindfold over his eyes.
In the meantime, according to what has been learned, the victim is in the process of being identified: he could be a 52-year-old Iranian citizen, without a fixed abode, who had been living in Trieste for several months.
A file has been opened in the Public Prosecutor's Office, headed by PM Maddalena Chergia, but it is not yet clear for what crime hypothesis, probably murder against unknown persons.
The military of the Trieste Command may have already heard some witnesses, an interrogation activity that will continue in the next few hours, when, in addition, the viewing of the footage from the surveillance cameras in the area should also begin.
