I dipendenti del Grand Hotel La Smile stanno affrontando una situazione di incertezza riguardo al proprio futuro occupazionale, dopo la sentenza di confisca definitiva emessa dalla Cassazione. In risposta a questa situazione, i lavoratori si sono mobilitati e hanno lanciato un appello attraverso i social media per ottenere supporto e rassicurazioni circa il loro futuro.
The employment future of the approximately 150 employees of the Grand Hotel La Sonrisa is in serious doubt due to the final confiscation sentence issued by the Court of Cassation. The workers – chefs, maîtres, waiters, etc. – have launched a heartfelt appeal through social media, asking for the community’s support to continue carrying out their work and to obtain reassurance regarding their future.
I lavoratori hanno lanciato un video attraverso i social media, chiedendo il supporto della comunità e annunciando una mobilitazione prevista per il giorno successivo. Un corteo pacifico partirà dal Castle of Ceremonies, sede del Grand Hotel La Sonrisa, per raggiungere il municipio di Sant’Antonio Abate. La speranza è quella di essere ricevuti dalla sindaca Ilaria Abagnale, che non è riuscita a incontrarli in precedenza a causa di altri impegni.
The solution to the situation of the employees is not simple, as the Municipality must formally acquire the structure after the final confiscation sentence. Afterwards, there are only two alternatives: demolishing the structure or reusing it for social purposes. In the second case, a solution must be found that allows the safeguarding of the approximately 150 workers, a legal-administrative undertaking not to be underestimated.
