The employees of the Grand Hotel La Sonrisa are facing uncertainty about their employment future, following the final confiscation sentence issued by the Court of Cassation. In response to this situation, the workers have mobilized and launched an appeal through social media to obtain support and reassurance about their future.

The employment future of the approximately 150 employees of the Grand Hotel La Sonrisa is in serious doubt due to the final confiscation sentence issued by the Court of Cassation. The workers – chefs, maîtres, waiters, etc. – have launched a heartfelt appeal through social media, asking for the community’s support to continue carrying out their work and to obtain reassurance regarding their future.

The workers have launched a video on social media, asking for the community's support and announcing a mobilization scheduled for the following day. A peaceful procession will depart from the Castello delle Cerimonie, home to the Grand Hotel La Sonrisa, to reach the town hall of Sant'Antonio Abate. The hope is to be received by the mayor Ilaria Abagnale, who was unable to meet them previously due to other commitments.

The solution to the situation of the employees is not simple, as the Municipality must formally acquire the structure after the final confiscation sentence. Afterwards, there are only two alternatives: demolishing the structure or reusing it for social purposes. In the second case, a solution must be found that allows the safeguarding of the approximately 150 workers, a legal-administrative undertaking not to be underestimated.
