Rafa Marin is about to become Napoli's first summer signing. The 22-year-old Spanish defender, owned by Real Madrid, is one step away from a move to the Neapolitan club.
According to the Iberian press, the deal is almost done, with Napoli ready to pay around eight million euros to secure the young centre-back, including a buy-back clause in favour of Real Madrid. The two clubs are still discussing the details of the contract.
Marin, who spent last season on loan at La Liga side Alaves, proved his worth by starting the game all year. Standing at 191cm, he contributed to Alaves' solid defence, which conceded 46 goals in 38 games, leading the team to tenth place in the league.
