Avellino. The public prosecutor Patrizia Filomena Rosa had requested a sentence of 4 years and 2 months of imprisonment for the defendant, while the defense attorney, Antonio Leone, had requested an acquittal, arguing that the fact does not exist or does not constitute a crime.
However, the preliminary hearing judge (Gup) Loredana Camerlengo issued a sentence of 5 years in prison against Vincenzo Colavecchia, entrepreneur 62 years old originally from Airola and resident in Montesarchio, assisted by the lawyer Leone, for the crime of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
The sentence exceeded the penalty requested by the public prosecutor, despite the defense having chosen the abbreviated trial. The crime in question dates back to early March, when Colavecchia was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Montesarchio Company.
During a search of the garage of his home, the military found approximately 200 grams of cocaine hidden in a shoulder bag.
