Promoted and funded by the Municipality of Naples as part of the Napoli Città della Musica project, Back Off – Napoli Ovest is an initiative that aims to enhance the Neapolitan musical heritage. Created by Bereshit aps and supported by the independent art platform PalomArt, the event aims to position the city as a point of reference for international music.
The event will take place on December 6 and 7 at the Roof Garden of the Agnano Hippodrome. The event includes a rich program of activities that includes workshops, musical and audio-visual performances. A strong point is the participation of the record label “Analog Africa”, known for its work of rediscovering African and Latin American musical treasures. A celebratory exhibition for the 13 years of Back to the Style is also planned, dedicated to urban art at the Totò Park in Bagnoli.
Schedule of events
On Friday, December 6, activities will begin at 16.00:20 p.m. with graffiti and dance workshops, limited to 19.00 participants. At XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., an exhibition curated by Vasiliki Ioannou will be inaugurated, followed by audio-visual performances by Josè Carlos Bellantuono and a DJ set by Navak. The evening will feature performances by the Bottazzi Band and the Fakstarr duo, focused on improvisation and musical experimentation.Art and music workshops
The following day, Saturday, December 7, participants will have the opportunity to participate in Piera Saladino's theater workshop and Paolo Batà Bianconcini's BatàLab music workshop, which will explore Afro-Cuban culture. The music workshop, limited to 15 people, will offer percussion, rumba singing and traditional dances.
