Naples. Yesterday evening, the State Police arrested a 15-year-old Tunisian with several criminal records. The charges against him include aggravated robbery, resisting and injuring a public official, illegal possession of weapons and damage to public property.
The intervention was triggered in Piazza Garibaldi, where the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, engaged in a routine territorial control service, were approached by a visibly agitated man. The latter pointed to a young man nearby, accusing him of threatening him with a knife to steal 100 euros from him.
At the sight of the police, the suspect attempted to flee, but was quickly caught. Despite putting up violent resistance, he was stopped and found in possession of a 36-centimeter-long knife and money stolen from the victim. While being transported by car, the young man damaged the vehicle's partition wall with repeated kicks.
The 15-year-old was then arrested and placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.
