The Guardia di Finanza of Salerno discovered and seized an illegal workshop located in the municipality of Ceraso. The operation, conducted by the Financiers of the Compagnia di Vallo della Lucania, is part of the usual economic controls of the territory. The owner of the business has been reported.
During the inspection, the military noticed several cars parked on a plot of land adjacent to a fenced building, some of which showed traces of plastering, indicating repairs and painting. The lack of regularly registered activities in the area aroused suspicion Yellow Flames, who confirmed the existence of a real garage. The structure included a covered yard and an area used for the storage of equipment, spare parts and materials classified as waste, stored without the required authorizations.
Investigations revealed that the business was unknown to the tax authorities since December 2023, when the VAT number was closed by the Revenue Agency due to lack of tax returns in the last twenty years. Furthermore, the owner was unable to provide the necessary authorizations for the exercise of the business nor tax documentation.
The entire area, including equipment, materials and waste, was seized. The charges against the owner include illegal waste management and the emission of polluting substances such as paints and solvents into the atmosphere without the proper authorizations. An administrative fine was also imposed for failure to register in the Business Register of the Chamber of Commerce or in the Register of Artisan Businesses.
