Pompeii – Yesterday, an operation conducted by the State Police led to the arrest of a 24-year-old, resident in Scafati, for illicit possession of narcotics.
The officers of the local police station, with the support of a specialized canine unit of the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue, searched Pompei the 24-year-old's home.
During the inspection, 5 packages containing cocaine were discovered and seized, with a total weight of approximately 281 grams, along with 2 bags of marijuana for a total of approximately 4 grams.
In addition to the drugs, two precision scales and the sum of 17.850 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations, were also found inside the house. The police assume that the money is the result of the young man's illicit activity. Investigations are currently underway to ascertain further details of the incident.
