Caserta – The tender for the redevelopment works of Villa Giaquinto and so after this important step there will be the start of the construction site, which will take place by mid-February.
The interventions, worth approximately 300 thousand euros, are financed with funds from the Pnrr (Urban Regeneration – Mission 5).
The works will mainly concern the maintenance and care of the greenery, with the planting of new tree species, the construction of a new irrigation system, the creation of areas for recreational activities, including a skate park, and the resurfacing of all sections of road.
New children's rides will also be installed, with special safety flooring in the areas surrounding the games, new street furniture (benches and bins), and a new fountain. An improvement of the lighting system is also planned, which must also be considered a fundamental element to guarantee safety for the visitors of this important public space.
. As with all interventions carried out by the Administration, routes will be created to ensure maximum enjoyment by all, with the presence of tactile routes for the visually impaired and blind.
“The process has been completed – explained the Mayor of Caserta, Carlo Marino – and now work can begin to redevelop a highly symbolic place in our city, very popular and which has historically hosted events of great social and cultural importance.
We have invested a lot in Villa Giaquinto and we will carry out a series of interventions aimed at increasing the decor and safety of the entire area, providing new elements of street furniture and dedicated to sports and leisure. The enhancement of this villa is our priority and we will soon return it to the city completely renovated”.
