The accident occurred late yesterday evening, in the Mattinelle district, and involved approximately 280 round bales of straw and hay, which fueled the flames.
Firefighter teams worked for a long time to contain and extinguish the fire, with the aim of preventing the spread of flames to adjacent structures and agricultural vehicles in the vicinity.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. Safety operations continued until the early hours of today. In the meantime, the Carabinieri of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi have launched an investigation to determine the causes of the fire.
