NAPLES – Moments of tension in Saints John and Paul Street, where a routine police check turned into a violent attack on the officers: two people stopped for checks immediately assumed a hostile attitude, to the point of attacking the police officers with kicks and punches.
The situation quickly degenerated when other people approached and railed against the police. In particular, a young man physically attacked the officers, making it necessary for other patrol cars to intervene to restore calm. After a fight, the police managed to block three people.
They ended up in handcuffs two brotherswhile one 18 year old Neapolitan was reported for resistance to a public official. In addition, one of the two brothers was fined for illicit possession of narcotic substances for personal use, as he was found in possession of a homemade cigarette containing marijuana.
