Tragedy this morning along the Amalfi state road towards the municipality of Positano. A small bus in the area carrying students collided with a scooter on a curve in the Tordigliano area.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist died while the bus continued on its journey, skidded and crashed through the parapet wall.
The small bus remained balanced with one front wheel in the void. In addition to the driver, there were several students on the bus who managed to save themselves.
The firefighters and the Carabinieri arrived on site to begin investigations and secure the area. Fortunately, no one on the bus was injured. The driver was tested to determine whether he was fit to drive at the time of impact.
The road is currently closed pending investigations and the removal of the bus obstructing traffic.
