LETTERS – Checks continue on road construction sites in the municipality of Slightly to verify compliance with safety and authorisation regulations: following inspections conducted by the Municipal police, led by the Captain Salvatore Giordano, numerous irregularities were found and sanctions were imposed on non-compliant companies.
The attention of the agents was focused on the open jobs for the maintenance and construction of infrastructures (water, energy, fiber optics, etc.), in order to ensure compliance with municipal regulations. The checks highlighted shortcomings in reporting and delimitation of intervention areas, as well as violations of the conditions imposed in the permits issued by the Municipality.
Following the irregularities discovered, a well-known company, together with the executing company and the works manager, was reported to the Judicial Authority for urban planning violations. At the same time, the Municipality has ordered the immediate restoration of the state of the places.
Commander Giordano recalled that the City of Slightly imposes detailed prescriptions in the authorization documents, both for the methods of carrying out the works and for the completion times. The checks will continue in the next few days to ensure full compliance with regulations and safety on construction sites.
