A Tribute to Carmelo Bene
The cinematographic work is inspired by the artistic roots of Carmelo Bene, recalling his early life through narratives set in Salento. Between the sunny countryside, the first performances and the hallucinations that influenced his theater, the film explores the profound cultural and religious influences that marked his career. The production took place entirely in the Municipality of Campi Salentina, Bene's hometown, using local actors, mostly young non-professionals.
Tour in the Italian Halls
The short film itinerary includes screenings in various Italian cities. After its debut in Livorno and Frosinone, it will continue in Verona, Grosseto, Rome, Perugia, Taranto, Asti, Rieti, Lecce, Viterbo, Barletta, Latina and Turin. Some screening sessions will be accompanied by the viewing of the opera “Nostra Signora dei Turchi” by Carmelo Bene, as well as meetings with the director Fabio Morgan. Details on the program can be found online through the website and social pages of Sprixar Srl.

I saw the short and I have to say it's very interesting, but I didn't understand some things about Carmelo Bene's childhood, maybe I could watch it again to understand better. The theme of love is strong but a bit confused.
