A strong earthquake has hit the Campi Flegrei area, with its epicenter in Pozzuoli, shaking the ground and increasing concern among residents: the earthquake, of magnitude 3.9, was also clearly felt in neighboring municipalities, including Bacoli, where the mayor Josi Della Ragione commented on the event by speaking of a "heavy shock" that made the city "dance".
The municipal administration responded immediately, starting to monitor the schools to verify any structural damage and to ensure the safety of the students. In addition, to deal with the emergency, two new waiting areas are being set up: one in the market area of the center of Bacoli and the other at the soccer field of Cuma. ù
These spaces are in addition to the reception centre already activated, where nine people found refuge last night and which remains available also for the citizens of the nearby municipality of Monte di Procida. Local authorities, in collaboration with the Civil Protection, continue to monitor the situation, ready to intervene if necessary.
