The newly elected Council of the Bar Association of Napoli, during the first session led by President Troianiello in his toga, completed the formation of the Bureau with the vote of the three vice presidents.
Lawyers Carmine Foreste, Dina Cavalli and Giovanni Carini were elected. The first two were elected unanimously by those present, while the third with 14 votes in favor and one abstention.
The vote was preceded by the approval, by the Council itself, of the proposal to elect three vice presidents, which is supported by the reference to the professional law, to the internal operating regulations of the Council of the Order and to the principle of organizational autonomy of the Councils of the Bar Associations recalled by the National Council of Lawyers in response to questions formulated on the topic.
Before the vote, the opposition group abandoned the session, which continued with the proclamation of the positions and the discussion of further important points on the Agenda, also in light of the entry into force of some provisions of the Cartabia law.
“The need for a broader articulation on the part of the Council, such as to allow the delegation of some fundamental functions such as those related to the role of the President, is required by the historical context in which the current council is developing – explained the majority councilors – which foresees a mandate of enormous responsibility, further burdened by the issues that concern the class and the justice sector, as well as by the need to relaunch the Institution, passing through the restoration of the economic-financial balance, due to the events that affected the previous council mandate”.
