As part of the effort to combat illicit trafficking, the finance police of the Provincial Command of Naples seized over 18 kilos of cocaine.
During checks carried out along the main roads leading to the city of Naples, a suspicious car was spotted, with two men on board, heading towards the Scampia district.
Suspicious of the maneuvers carried out, the financial police decided to stop and check the vehicle. Inside the passenger compartment, hidden at the foot of the back seat, a blue bag was found, containing 17 blocks of narcotic substance that, subjected to rapid analysis, turned out to be cocaine.
The two men – born in '94 and '85 – were arrested for the crime of trafficking and illicit possession of narcotics.
Today's service activity, carried out by the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Naples, demonstrates the constant commitment of the Fiamme Gialle in the fight against drug trafficking, to protect the health and safety of citizens.
