When he crossed paths with a Carabinieri patrol he knew the patrol would go up. He also knew he didn't have license plates and that he was in a lot of trouble.
Despite everything he did not turn, he continued hoping for luck. As expected the military of the radiomobile section immediately noticed the absence of license plates and ordered him to stop.
For the 43-year-old from Villaricca, there was only one choice: to step on the accelerator. The chase was the natural consequence.
The 43-year-old kept his cool for a few kilometers, until the adrenaline rush wore off. He lost control of the car, hit some parked vehicles and put a point on the race. He came out of the cockpit bruised and with a broken leg.
He was taken to the hospital but the stretcher did not save him from a complaint for resisting a public official, damage, carrying altered keys and receiving stolen goods.
In the small car, later seized, the carabinieri found a complete kit for thefts: a flex, crowbars, gloves, screwdrivers, a huge hammer, license plates, including foreign ones, found to be stolen, and radio transmitters. The person reported is still hospitalized.
