The eleventh edition of the Health Campus was inaugurated today, held on the Caracciolo seafront in Napoli.
The opening of the event was attended by Professor Annamaria Colao, scientific coordinator, Pasquale Antonio Riccio, president of the Campus, and Tommaso Mandato, author of the book “Abbasso il calcio, Viva il pallone” and president of Givova.
In addition to them, the ceremony was attended by the rector Matteo Lorito, the vice president of the Campania Region Fulvio Bonavitacola, the municipal councilors Teresa Armato and Vincenzo Santagata, together with numerous representatives from the world of health, culture and the Third Sector.
The first edition of the Sports Literature Festival also took place during the event, where Tommaso Mandato's book was one of the protagonists. Among the guests there was also Salvatore Bagni, along with many other personalities from the world of sports and literature. In addition, the museum dedicated to Maradona was opened to the public during the event.
The Health Campus offers free medical visits for everyone, with more than one hundred doctors, experts and volunteers who will guarantee visits in dozens of specialists in the largest field hospital built in the city center.
The clinics will be dedicated to many medical disciplines, including cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, gynecology, nutrition, osteoporosis, orthopedics and breast medicine.
The event also includes sports activities, especially for schools, with finals scheduled for Sunday 8 October, and 3 vs 3 basketball tournaments. In addition, there are initiatives for four-legged friends, solidarity events and the participation of numerous testimonials and authorities during the week dedicated to prevention.
