She died like this, in Casalnuovo, at the gates of Napoli, a forty-year-old pharmacist resident in Somma Vesuviana – Filomena La Montagna – who was on her way to work.
Investigations into the accident are ongoing, especially to understand whether the handbrake was faulty or whether it was not applied.
The fact is that the car moved and accelerated downhill until it hit the woman who was trying to stop it and who ended up crushed between her car and another parked along the road.
On social media, the condolences of the mayor of Casalnuovo, Massimo Pelliccia, who speaks of a "dramatic accident" in which "a young 40-year-old woman died in tragic circumstances after being hit by her own car left parked near her workplace. A terrible accident on which the police are clarifying. We are close to the family for this immense tragedy that has left the entire community in shock".
“Mena”, as she was known, is also remembered by the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Speranza in Marigliano, the municipality where she was born and where her funeral will be held.
