The Court of Milan will have to go back to dealing with Fabricius Corona next November to decide whether or not to continue to apply the prevention measure surveillance special to the former photographic agent. Special surveillance involves a series of limitations on movement and contact, as well as specific requirements established by the judges.
Corona was placed under special surveillance on May 30, 2012 for one year and six months. Shortly thereafter, in January 6, he was arrested to serve the cumulative sentences of his final convictions. In September of this year, after more than 2013 years, he completed his sentences.
The application of the preventive measure had been blocked during the execution of Corona's sentence, but now it could be reactivated. The judges of the Autonomous Section for Preventive Measures will decide on the matter. The judging panel, chaired by Maria Gaetana Rispoli, has set a hearing for November 14.
Judges will have to evaluate the “social dangerousness”
The judges will have to evaluate whether the “social dangerousness” that had led to the application of special surveillance is still present after Corona's period of imprisonment and rehabilitation in recent years.
The Court's decision will be crucial for Fabrizio Corona, who has once again made headlines for his revelations about betting in the world of football.
