Staff of the Guardia di Finanza of the Provincial Command of Salerno gave
execution of a preventive seizure order, as well as a search and seizure order, issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office, on the basis of detailed investigations carried out against a dental practice, managed in fact by individuals without the necessary qualification to practice the profession.
The investigations were carried out through intense observation and control activities, also carried out with the capture of video recordings resulting from the installation of cameras inside the centre.
The activity carried out allowed us to acquire elements to support the investigative hypothesis and to document that the so-called dentists had illegally and habitually practiced medical-surgical activities, by making dental impression casts, fitting dental prostheses and performing root canal treatments.
The investigations carried out by the financial police of the Scafati Company have provided this Prosecutor's Office with sufficient evidence to issue an emergency preventive seizure of the dental practice, as well as a probative seizure of all the computer devices held there and of the accounting and non-accounting documentation useful for the continuation of the preliminary investigations.
At present, four people have been identified as responsible, including the Medical Officer in Charge, who are being investigated, in competition with each other, for the crime of unlawful practice of the dental profession.
