The Torre Annunziata State Police, assisted by the Naples Flying Squad and the Crime Prevention Unit, executed a custodial detention order and a ban on residence against five people.
The suspects, all residents of Torre Annunziata, are seriously suspected, in competition with each other, of the crimes of illicit possession and dealing of narcotic substances (cocaine and cannabis), aggravated by having operated near two schools.
Two of the suspects were arrested and taken to the Poggiorele prison in Naples, while the other three were banned from residing in the province of Naples.
The investigations, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata, have allowed us to ascertain the existence of two thriving "squares of shop” inside a building in Torre Annunziata.
Pushers helped by their families
Between November 2022 and January 2023, the suspects, who were related to each other, allegedly “dealt” drugs, also with the help of their family members.
The use of cameras and wiretaps documented a daily and consistent flow of buyers at the building.
During the operation, 5,62 grams of cocaine and 137,64 grams of cannabis were seized.
One of the suspects, already under house arrest, was also charged with 45 escapes.
