Also this year the State Police will accompany travelers who will take advantage of the nice weather to visit the main Italian tourist locations.
The 2024 edition of the road safety campaign “E…state con noi” started last June 21st from San Teodoro and Reggio Calabria.
On weekends, when traffic intensifies, the Highway Police, with the coordination of the Operations Centers, located throughout the country, is present with numerous control devices and with an intense proximity action to combat risky driving behavior; deploying the various technologies in use such as breathalyzers, latest generation precursors, street control and police controller.
Furthermore, thanks to the collaboration of the Ania Foundation and Autostrade per l'Italy, a mobile laboratory is also used to ascertain on the road the state of psychophysical alteration due to drug use through second level analyses.
At the same time, users are also made aware of the responsible and prudent behavior to adopt on the road to stem the phenomenon of road accidents that continues to claim victims especially among young people up to 24 years of age.
Until September 15, the Highway Police officers, in over 50 mountain and seaside tourist locations, from Piedmont to Sicily to Sardinia, will present, also on board representative vehicles such as Pullman Azzurro, Camper Azzurro, Lamborghini and Tesla, various interactive activities and simulators through which it will be possible to experience, first-hand, what it means to drive in altered psychophysical conditions due to drug and alcohol intake.
In particular, between Campania and Basilicata, the activities in question will be held in the following squares:

SORRENTO – Angelina Lauro Square – August 2, 2024
POLICORO – Piazza Polieion – 2 August 2024
NAPLES – Piazza Vittoria – August 3, 2024
